WRPS Investigating Robbery at Kitchener Plaza

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a robbery at a fireworks retailer in Kitchener.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance involving six to ten youth in the parking lot of a plaza in the area of Highland Road West and Fischer-Hallman Road.

Through investigation, police learned several teenage males had entered a trailer selling fireworks. The youths then stole fireworks, and assaulted and threatened staff.

The youths were last seen fleeing on foot toward Fischer-Hallman Road.

The employees, a 25-year-old male and a 26-year-old male, sustained minor physical injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
